  • What is AutoExtend? EXAMPLE: If you are bidding on an item scheduled to end at 10am and you place a bid at 9:59am - the auction will Autoextend to 10:09am - if another bid is placed at 10:04am the auction will again be Autoextended to 10:14am. This will continue until no bids are placed during the 10 minute Autoextend period.
  • Auction Ending Times: Auctions with multiple items use a Staggered ending time. Each item has its own ending time. If the auction is scheduled to end at 10:00am the first item is scheduled to end at 10am and each item after the first will end in a set staggered interval. An example is a 5 minute stagger, each item will end 5 minutes after the item before it. But, don't forget if an item is bid on in the last 10 minutes the AutoExtend will begin for that item. The following items will stay on the original scheduled staggered ending time (unless they too are Autoextended).
  • Outbid emails are only sent prior to the auction closing - once 10am hits on the auction close date - outbid emails are not sent.
  • Bidding Errors - Bidders are responsible for their actions, if you make an entry error you must call our office (608-437-2001) and the error will be examined to determine if it was an error and corrected by Wisconsin Surplus. Errors will not likely be corrected within the last 12 hours of the auction. If you are unsure how to bid or are new we strongly suggest you do not wait until the very end of the auction to bid.
  • Multiple Item Purchases - If you are the high bidder on multiple items you are responsible for paying for all items -- Bidders are NOT allowed to win mulitple items and then decide which item they want or if you didn't win an item but won several others you are required to pay for the items you did win. Behavior of this nature is not tolerated, if you win 3 items you pay for 3 items.

    01c.jpg20’ X 40’ Wood Frame Building to be Removed
    - ADDRESS: 5410 North Beach Road, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494
    - DESCRIPTION: Wood floor interior, insulated (somewhat), has brick chimney. Building is 2”x 4” stud frame. Inside is fiber board lined. Outside is asphalt roll roofing on the walls and asphalt shingles. The building sits on a poured concrete wall with crawl space. This is a sold “as is” item. The shingles are in poor condition, the siding is in poor condition, and there are maintenance issues within the building. However, it is a sound structure. Personal inspection is strongly encouraged - Loose items/signs/tools shown inside building are NOT included
    - ACCESS: Access is within 20’ of North Beach Rd.
    - FINAL SITE CONDITION: The purchaser is responsible for the clean-up of all debris created by the removal. There will be a $1,000.00 deposit collected as a performance bond and will be refunded to the purchaser upon satisfactory removal and clean-up of the property. Wisconsin Surplus will be collecting this performance cash deposit for the Wood County Parks & Forestry Dept. This deposit needs to be in the form a guaranteed fund, i.e. wire transfer, guaranteed/certified check, money order or cash. The concrete foundation will be removed by the County after the building is gone.
    - REMOVAL DEADLINE: The structure will be removed in entirety, either as a whole or in manageable sections in a safe manner by the buyer, at the earliest possible convenience. However, allowances will be made due to the weather and time of year. A contract will be entered into with the Purchaser and the deadline can be negotiated at that time. Wood County will require the building to be removed no later than October 1, 2019.
    - REQUIREMENTS: Any permits needed to remove the building will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser. The site will be kept in a safe condition at all times and safety tape placed around the site by purchaser. Any hazardous waste disposal/removal will be the responsibility of the purchaser. As stated, there will be a $1,000.00 performance bond payable to Wood County Parks and Forestry and a contract entered into with Wood County Parks and Forestry upon successful bid and payment of the building. The bond will be returned upon satisfactory completion of the removal. There is also a requirement to have a minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability insurance with Wood County being named as “additionally insured”.
    - TERMS: Purchased structure cannot be removed until confirmation of payment is received by Wood County. The County will be held harmless for any injury incurred while in the act of working on County property and/or moving the structure. The Buyer waives the County of all liability while working on County property. The Buyer is not covered by the County’s insurance while on County property. Notes: All items sell AS IS – the Buyer is responsible for safely removing items. Wood County may require Buyer to sign a waiver of liability before Buyer can remove items. No trees will be cut in the process of removal without written approval.
